2012 District Art Show

I want to congratulate all of our student artists featured in this year’s District Art Show!
 The Art Show will be on display from
Monday April 30th to Friday May 4th at 2:30pm at
 Gauger Cobbs Middle School.
 The address is 50 Gender Road Newark, DE 19713.
If you were unable to attend the opening reception Monday evening,
 feel free to take a virtual walk through Wilson’s district art show below, or take a trip to Gauger Cobbs after school one day this week. I want to thank all of the students, families, and teachers who came to the opening reception last night, Go Wilson!

Arbor Day Contest Winner

Congratulations to Ella from room A for winning the Arbor Day poster contest for Kindergarten in New Castle County, DE! The week at Wilson Elementary school a Holly tree will be planted in her honor.
In addition, she will be recognized at the state Arbor Day celebration and receive a special savings bond reward! I want to thank the entire kindergarten team at Wilson for doing a great job on their posters, let’s try again next year!

Spring Break Origami Fun


Over the past week, students at Wilson Elementary have been studying the ancient japanese art form of origami. We had such a blast learning about the history of origami and how to make origami spring flowers. As a treat here are a few optional spring break Origami projects.
